Felicia Kerney, Esq., Assistant District Attorney and Chief of the Community Prosecution & Animal Cruelty Unit, Dallas County District Attorney’s Office
Felicia Kerney is an Assistant District Attorney and Chief of the Community Prosecution & Animal Cruelty Unit with the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office. Prior to this position, she was a Specialized Felony Trial Prosecutor in the Family Violence Division, where she encountered cases involving the link between animal cruelty and domestic violence. From this experience, she worked with others to create the North Texas Link Coalition, an organization dedicated to educating the community about the link between animal abuse, domestic violence, elder abuse and child abuse. Ms. Kerney supervises the newly created Nondisclosure Unit and manages District Attorney’s Office’s 11 satellite locations which were created to make prosecutors more accessible to the community while helping victims of domestic violence.
